The Declaration of Independence is a document of utmost inportance to American society. This single scroll contains the foundations to our lives in America today. When Thomas Jefferson and others felt opressed by their Governing bodies, they felt the need to act out and defend their beliefs. Would this tactic work in today's society? Why or why not?
